Dave McCabe
Dave McCabe was born in 1982 in Dundalk, Ireland. From a young age he was interested in the escapist nature of myths, legends and fantasy tales and over time began to start telling similar stories of his own. Over the years he found outlets for these stories through storytelling sessions, writing, computer games, drama groups and eventually film.
At first he learnt the trade by producing a number of short films for others, then, in early 2009 he made his directorial debut with the successful short film, ‘The Hollow Girl‘. While it toured the festival circuit worldwide across ‘09 and ’10, he directed his first feature film, ‘Shackled‘. Always on the look out for new stories to tell Dave is currently in development on a number of projects through his production company Squid Media.
Additionally, Dave is involved in a number of film based community projects in Dundalk and is a member of IPSG, SDGI and IFTA.
